A surgery that let me breathe for the first time in my life. And a question I couldn't let go of.

My background isn't marketing. It's psychology and medical sales. I studied how people make decisions at Kennesaw State, then spent eight years selling blood work, MRI, and X-ray referrals to physicians. President's Club winner. Over $1M in profit for my company in a single year.

Every day of that job, I was building trust with physicians and practice managers. I learned what gets a phone call returned, and what makes a practice keep one vendor and quietly drop another.

Then I ended up on the patient side of it. I needed a septoplasty. Dr. Mark Van Deusen did the surgery, and for the first time in my life I could breathe.

Why had nobody told me this was something I could fix? How many other people had a fixable problem and didn't know the answer existed?
