How Much Does Meta Ads Management Cost Per Month?
Managing a Facebook and Instagram ad account for a local business costs between about $500 and $2,500 a month depending on who does it, plus the ad spend itself. The price tells you less than the pricing model and what is included.
What do the typical prices look like?
| Who | Typical monthly fee | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
| Freelancer | $500 to $1,500 | Campaign setup and optimization; limited creative; you chase them |
| Small agency, flat fee | $1,000 to $2,500 | A named person, creative, reporting, often follow-up automation |
| Percentage-of-spend agency | 10 to 20 percent of spend, often with a $750 to $2,000 floor | Cheap when small, expensive when you scale |
| Full-service or enterprise agency | $3,000 to $10,000 and up | Teams, production, multi-channel; overkill for one location |
| Software and DIY tools | $50 to $300 | Templates and automation; you still do the work |
| Engage Ads | $1,500 flat (twelve-month term) | Founder-run Meta lead ads with instant forms, creative, monthly reporting in leads and cost per lead, lead alert and auto-reply included |
Is ad spend included?
Almost never, and it should not be. The management fee pays for the work; the ad spend goes to Meta. If an agency quotes one all-in number, ask how much of it reaches Meta and whether the account is in your name. An agency that bills you for media and pays Meta itself controls your advertising history. Why that matters is in keeping ownership of your ad account and data.
Flat fee or percentage of spend?
A 15 percent fee costs $450 on $3,000 of spend and $3,750 on $25,000. A $1,500 flat fee costs $1,500 either way. The break-even is $10,000 a month, so small accounts are genuinely cheaper on percentage and growing ones are cheaper on a flat fee. The full arithmetic is in flat fee vs percentage of ad spend.
What should be included at any price?
- Campaign structure built for leads: a priced offer, a native instant form, a tight radius. See Meta lead ads with instant forms.
- Creative: real photos of your business, the price in the headline, two or three ads per ad set.
- Pixel and conversions API set up in your account.
- Monthly reporting in inquiries, booked jobs and cost per booked job.
- An automatic reply to every lead within a minute, because the booking rate is decided there.
How much should you budget for the ads themselves?
Enough that Meta can leave its learning phase, which wants roughly 50 conversions per ad set. For a local service business that is usually $30 to $50 a day. Below that the fee is paying someone to manage noise. What to spend by business size is in how much a service business should spend on ads.
Engage Ads runs paid advertising, AI search visibility and lead follow-up as one system for high-ticket service businesses in Gwinnett County and across metro Atlanta, on a flat monthly fee with the ad accounts in your name.
