Cost per lead benchmarks for dentists and chiropractors running Meta ads

Dentist and Chiropractor Cost Per Lead on Meta Ads

Invalid Date

A dentist running Meta lead ads in metro Atlanta should expect somewhere between $15 and $80 per inquiry depending on the offer, and a chiropractor between $15 and $45. The wide ranges you see online are real; the narrow number below is ours, from live accounts, and it tells you what the low end looks like when the structure is right.

What is a realistic cost per lead for a dentist running Meta ads?

Published benchmarks put general dentistry between $30 and $80 per lead on Meta, with cosmetic and implant offers from $45 to $110 and a widely quoted industry average near $77. Those figures mix landing-page leads with instant-form leads and mix vague "free consult" offers with priced ones, which is why they spread so far.

Offer typeTypical Meta cost per leadNotes
Priced new-patient exam or cleaning, instant form, tight radius$15 to $40The offer does the qualifying; highest volume
General dentistry, landing page lead$30 to $80Fewer but slightly warmer leads
Invisalign, veneers, cosmetic$45 to $110Higher value per case justifies the cost
Implants, full arch$60 to $130Lead-to-consult rate matters more than CPL

What does a chiropractor pay per lead on Facebook ads?

Chiropractic is one of the cheaper local verticals on Meta because the first visit is inexpensive and the offer is easy to state. Typical published ranges run $15 to $45 per new-patient inquiry, rising to $75 or more in dense metros with a weak offer. Our own chiropractic account, running a $49 first-visit offer with a native instant form inside a 10-mile radius of the clinic in Gwinnett County, ran at $16.75 per inquiry. The same account's auto-accident campaign, a harder offer aimed at a narrower audience, ran far higher and was stopped; not every chiropractic offer is cheap.

Why did two unrelated accounts land at $16.65 and $16.75?

An ENT practice we manage ran 676 inquiries at $16.65 each. A chiropractic practice ran at $16.75. Both figures are pulled from the Meta Ads API, both count form submissions rather than booked patients, and both used the same structure: a concrete dollar offer, the Leads objective with a native instant form, a 10 to 15 mile radius, Feed-only placement and offer-led creative with the price in the headline. The six-tenths of one percent gap between two verticals is the useful finding: the structure sets the price more than the specialty does. The structure is described in Meta lead ads with instant forms for local service businesses.

What moves cost per lead most?

  • The offer: a priced first visit beats "free consultation" on both cost and show rate.
  • Radius: every mile past what patients will drive is wasted reach.
  • Placement: Feed produced leads steadily while Reels-only produced none on the same budget in one of our accounts.
  • Form friction: one qualifying question is worth a few dollars of CPL; five questions kill volume.
  • Speed to reply: the number that matters is cost per booked patient, and that is set by the first five minutes after submission.

How should you judge the number?

Divide by your booking rate. At a 30 percent booking rate, a $16.75 inquiry is about $56 per booked patient, which against a first-year patient value in the high hundreds or thousands is the whole case for running the ads. At a 5 percent booking rate the same inquiry costs $335 booked, and the problem is the phone, not the ads. What a good cost per lead looks like for your own numbers is in what is a good cost per lead, and how much to spend is in how much a practice should spend on ads.
